3 Narcotics Examination of charas, ganja and all other drugs
like MDMA, opium, Cocaine, Heroine, Morphine, etc.
4 Ballistics Examination of fire arms, bullets, cartridge case,
etc. and its comparison with exhibits.
5 Computer Forensic Examination of mobile phones, pen drives,
hard disks, DVR, all types of digital media
storage devices, etc.
6 DNA Finger-printing Examination of blood, semen, saliva, tooth,
hair, body fluids, etc. through DNA fingerprinting.
7 Fingerprint

Examination of fingerprint (rolled),
Chance prints, palm prints and fingerprints
on disputed documents.

Additionally, Fingerprint Bureau issue
Fingerprint Certificates to the citizens,
for visa or immigration purpose, after
background verification of their antecedents
through the Police, providing these services
for a nominal fee.

9 Scene of Crime (SOC) There are 05 (Five) Mobile Forensic Vans (MFVs)
equipped with various sophisticated kits,
operating in all three Districts of Goa.
02 MFVs procured in the year 2015, while
02 MFVs are procured from the centrally
sponsored scheme “Modernization of Forensic
Capabilities” and 01 MFVs from state fund,
these three are procured in year 2025.

Forensic team is made available to various
Police Stations on call across the State,
24 X 7.
10 e-Peshi Facility For the purpose of e-Peshi, 05 cubicles are
set-up at D.F.S., Verna through M/s Info Tech
Corporation of Goa Ltd.
